Collision – Global Trends Platform
If you’re familiar with the world of market research, you may well have come across Foresight Factory or at least one of their publications/papers. Their core proposition is not dissimilar to the likes of Mintel or TNS Global, although distinguishing features include future trends and their highly praised physical events.
We work with the product team, board, and other key stakeholders at Foresight Factory in a relationship that has grown over more than five years. In that time, we have created Collision – an industry-leading trends platform for their clients with an integrated data warehouse, analytics tool, and first-class editing and publishing features.
How we work
We are very integrated with the Foresight Factory team. By running regular workshops and fortnightly sprints we react to new business and user requirements quickly, delivering continuous improvements.
For more complex features, integrations, and updates, we manage project focused sprints covering UX, design, technical architecture, bespoke software development, and infrastructure.
Analytics is key to measuring success and informing the continued development and refinement of the platform. The solution includes integrated third-party tools and custom analytics implementations to enable Foresight Factory and our team to monitor KPIs effectively.
All of this is not possible without rock-solid systems. As with many of our clients, we build and manage the cloud infrastructure to host the Collision platform.
The Collision platform
We have built out a robust and scalable platform that can handle large volumes of content and data. With premium design and lots of attention to UX, we have created an intuitive and beautiful UI. Using Elasticsearch and custom personalization algorithms, we have created a fast and accurate search experience, and content recommendations aligned with subscribers’ profiles and habits.
Behind the scenes, is a bespoke content management system developed to support the team at Foresight Factory with their daily content creation. We have integrated the platform with Salesforce for two-way syncing of customer information and usage data to enable the sales and marketing team to carry out a sophisticated CRM program.
External APIs allow clients to interrogate and consume data and content from the platform within their portals with Single Sign-On integrations giving seamless access to research, insights, and marketing teams.
The platform is used by more than 10,000 users across 500+ clients and has over 30,000 active content items.
Customer retention has increased by 30% since the release of the platform.
